About Roman Baths Guide

romanbaths.uk is an independent visitor guide to the Roman Baths and the Pump Room in Bath, Somerset. The site exists to help travellers — UK-based and international — make practical decisions before they visit: which ticket, what time of day, whether the 2-for-1 voucher is worth the queue, and what they are actually looking at when they get inside.

What we are not

We are not the official Roman Baths website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or otherwise connected to Bath & North East Somerset Council, the Roman Baths Museum, the Pump Room, or any other official operator. The official site is romanbaths.co.uk. If you need to contact the operator directly — for accessibility queries, group bookings, lost property — please use the official site, not us.

How we keep information honest

• Prices and hours are cross-checked against the official site and on-site signage. We date our updates and revisit each page at least twice a year.
• Photographs are either licensed stock images or pictures taken on visits. Where a Victorian or modern element looks Roman, we say so.
• Recommendations are written by people who have actually visited multiple times, at different times of year — not by content farms.
• Affiliate links are clearly marked. We only link to GetYourGuide, an authorised reseller that sells the same tickets at the same official rate. We earn a small commission if you book — it costs you nothing extra and it keeps this guide free.

What this site covers

Currently the English version has detailed guides on tickets, opening times, discounts and the 2-for-1 voucher. The site is also translated into Spanish, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish, Japanese, Chinese and Korean — using professional translators, not machine output. If you find a translation that reads awkwardly, please tell us.

Editorial standards

We write in plain English (or plain target language) and avoid the marketing-brochure tone that makes most attraction sites unreadable. Concrete numbers beat adjectives. If we recommend a 09:00 slot over an 11:30 slot, it’s because one of us tested both with a stopwatch.
